Like a marionette I dangle
Held up only by the strings
Before you, I was my own
But you have crafted strings of lies
And tied them to my hands and feet.

You began to control me.
Faster, faster
Came the isolation

Came those broken promises.
Now those strings are tied
Forever locking me into your cage
And swallowing the key.
By those lies I dangle
